Lex Center for Creative ReUse

Data Privacy Policy

Lex Center for Creative ReUse is a community-based nonprofit with a brick-and-mortar arts & crafts supply shop. We also host many community arts events, including workshops and gallery shows. The majority of our work happens in the physical world, and we also use a variety of digital tools to share information among our community. These tools include some that track and reference personal information about our community members.

We aim to build a safe community where all people can thrive and be creative, and we work to be intentional and responsible in the ways we handle community members’ personal data. We’ve created this document in order to be transparent about why and how we use that information.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to lexcreativereuse@gmail.com.

Data Privacy Guiding Principles

  • Respect any community member’s choice to withhold any personal data.
  • Honor any community member’s decision to withdraw their personal data at any time.
  • Do not sell community members’ personal data for any reason.
  • Only collect personal data for which we have a purpose, such as community development and communication.
  • Limit access to personal data (via the digital toolkit listed below) to the Center’s Leadership Team.
  • Require all people who have access to personal data (via the digital toolkit listed below) to sign an agreement that they understand and will follow our Data Privacy Guiding Principles.
